Industries we know

Equipment varies less between industries than people expect. Constraints do not. A pump is a pump, but a pump in a dairy has to survive caustic washdown, and a pump in an aerospace shop has to come with paperwork.

These are the environments we have actually worked in.

Food and beverage

Processing, bottling, dairy and bakery. Washdown environments destroy bearings and seals that would last years anywhere else, sanitary requirements limit what you can put on a machine, and a stopped line is often product on the floor rather than just lost minutes.

Common work: motor and pump failures traced to water ingress, seal and packing problems, conveyor drives, and instrumentation that has drifted because it has been hosed down twice a shift for three years.

Packaging and plastics

Fillers, cappers, labellers, extrusion, injection moulding and converting. Highly sequenced machines where one sensor out of position stops everything downstream, and where frequent changeovers mean the equipment is constantly being adjusted by people under time pressure.

Common work: PNP and NPN sensor faults and their PLC inputs, servo and drive faults, pneumatic actuator problems, and heater and temperature control loops.

Water treatment and utilities

Pumps, blowers, chemical feed and the instrumentation that has to keep reading true because the readings are the process. Often remote or unmanned, which puts a premium on getting equipment onto a network where somebody can see it.

Common work: pump and blower diagnosis, magnetic and DP flow, level measurement, pH analysers, control valves, and monitoring so a drifting reading raises an alarm before it becomes a compliance problem.

Military and aerospace

Environments where doing it right is the requirement and documentation is part of the job, not an afterthought. Francisco's technical training began in the military, which is where the habit of working a procedure in order — rather than jumping to the likely answer — came from.

That discipline is why the diagnostic approach on every other job here looks the way it does: readings taken in sequence, recorded, and used to eliminate causes rather than confirm a hunch.

The four sectors above are where we have the deepest history. But the machinery underneath is the same across most of manufacturing — a 480 V motor does not know what it is making. We take work in all of these:
